Organisms do everything and have specialist to harvest all sorts of energy to feed the cells, so mitochondria can produce energy in return for the organism to live, grow and reproduce.
With bees, ants, wolfs, and humans, this Principle of TPOCo was mimicked outside organisms, with the same goal, harvesting energy in coordination, to feed the individuals and coordinated cells, so Mitochondria can produce energy.
